Terra Fin are an experimental pop duo hailing from West Yorkshire. The project formed in 2015, have twice toured France and Lithuania and are renowned on the Huddersfield scene for their intense, dynamic live performances.

Heavy churning riffs, electronic and jazz tainted breakdowns interspersed with spacious delicate refrains creates a kaleidoscopic fusion of sound. With every new release the band tackles a new realm of genre, technology and instrumentation.

Frontman Jonas Lapinas draws inspiration from bands such as At the Drive-In and Radiohead and bassist Corey Clough-Howard has roots in jazz and pop.

Sleepwalk is Terra Fin’s first primarily electronic release. Written and arranged by Jonas Lapinas, the core of the song was created using Volca sequencers and keyboards comprising warped vocal samples. ‘Fingers crossed ’til they break’ – the song is about unhealthy obsessions and the sudden drops followed by gradual changes in timbre are to emulate drifting in and out of consciousness during restless sleep. The B side ‘Snowflake. Snowflake’ introduces and sets the mood for the title track and was written by Jonas Lapinas and co-produced with Corey Clough-Howard.
